Mental Health Seminar
The Family Ministry team is pleased to welcome Dr. Pascual Chen, a clinical psychologist, certified trauma therapist, school psychologist and licensed speaker and Emily Hulse, License Professional Counselor who specializes in children, to join parents in a class helping parents to recognize any potential mental health concerns and provide practical guidance on how to best support children who struggle with anxiety or other mental health concerns. This class hopes to address many current struggles that families face such as concerns that stem from raising a child during the pandemic, a child who struggles with managing stressors from school or social situations, guidance on how to help your teen navigate mental health stressors, and more. KID Wednesdays
The 1st and the 3rd Wednesday of the month from
5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Kids In Discipleship Wednesdays is a relational ministry for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We will have dinner together followed by an interactive large group lesson, a game (or activity) time, and small group application time. The vision for this program is spiritual and relational growth. We will provide kids with ways they can apply the teaching in their life and send home information/tools for parents to further the lesson and application at home. Register here!
Family Faith Pathway
NCC is committed to partnering with parents along the journey of raising kids to own their faith. One way we can support you is by providing a framework to guide you through each stage of your child's spiritual development. This framework is the Family Faith Pathway. Fostering Spiritual Practices in Children & Students Webinar
This webinar is not just for parents; if you know a child, you are influencing a child! This webinar from the NCC Family Ministries team, provides practical tips and resources for incorporating spiritual practices into the rhythms of your daily life. This will look different depending on the age of the child/student, but we have options for all ages. You are a child’s spiritual champion, and we want to partner with you and help equip you for the role. Our Family Faith Pathway is designed for that purpose, and the webinar focuses on step two of the pathway. CLICK HERE to view the webinar.
